As is true of most digital services, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We also reserve the right to collect usage data about you whenever you interact with our services. This may include which webpages you visit, what you click on, when you performed those actions, and so on. Additionally, like most digital services today, we keep digital log files that record data each time a device accesses our servers. The log files contain data about the nature of each access. We collect data from the device and application you use to access our services, such as your IP address, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We may also infer your geographic location based on your IP address. If you arrive at a PositiveIQ services from an external source (such as a link on another website or in an email), we may use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, administer the site, track users, and gather demographic information about our user base.
We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. PositiveIQ is a general audience service. If PositiveIQ or its Internet Service Providers become aware that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, PositiveIQ will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.
When participating in a survey, we may ask users to submit personally identifiable information. This personally identifiable information is used for research purposes only, and it is not used for sales solicitations. When surveys are conducted on behalf of our clients, individual level responses are stripped of all personally identifying information before being provided to the client; however, we may provide such information to a third-party, such as a distributor, or validator, when it is necessary to redeem a prize or reward. When a survey is sponsored by a third party, aggregate information of the survey results is reported to the sponsor. Personally identifiable information collected through surveys will be used only by PositiveIQ and its operations contractors, and will not be given or sold to a third party without the userís consent. You will never receive email from any third party because of using the PositiveIQ site, unless our services offerings require us or a third-party to send you information.
Aside from personally identifiable information, PositiveIQ may, during interactions with users, gather other types of information ("Operating Information"). PositiveIQ users receive survey invitations periodically (weekly or monthly, for example) depending on stated preferences. These surveys will ask questions about opinions and attitudes toward current topics.
PositiveIQ may provide aggregate information to third parties. For example, we might inform third parties regarding the number of users of our services and the activities they conduct while on our platforms. We might also inform an interested policy group that "25% of our users live on the west coast" or that "35% of our users have ever completed more than one assessment on PositiveIQ.com," for example. Depending on the circumstances, we may or may not charge third parties for this aggregate information. We require parties, with whom we share aggregate information to agree that they will not attempt to re-identify, re-associate, de-aggregate or make this information personally identifiable, for example, by combining it with other databases.
Despite our efforts to protect the personally identifiable information and personal information of our users, digital services are always subject to inherent risks that an unauthorized third party may find a way around our security controls or that transmissions of information over the Internet will be intercepted. PositiveIQ cannot promise, and you should not expect, that your personal information, other information that you submit or upload to digital services, personal searches, and other communications will always be impenetrable from attacks by cyber criminals.
